I also don't see anywhere in the client setup to put my username or password to log into the OpenVPN server. In the client.ovpn file there is a section containing a 2048 bit OpenVPN static key, but I don't see where I could stick that, if that is an issue. This, however, was apparently not sufficient, as the messages log file shows a TLS handshake not completed after 60 seconds error. From that file, I put the section labeled (from and including -BEGIN CERTIFICATE- to and including -END CERTIFICATE-) into the CA Cert field, the section labeled into Public Client Cert field, and the section labeled into the Private Client Key field. For the keys, I was able to download a client.ovpn file from the OpenVPN Access Server, which contained a number of keys and other configuration information. So I went to the VPN tab under services, enabled VPN client, and set the properties. I now want to set up DD-WRT to connect to this OpenVPN server. As the OpenVPN Access Server took care of the setup, I didn't need to go through any issues of generating various keys, etc. I have an OpenVPN Access Server solution set up and functioning, in that I can web browse to the server webpage, click the link to download a pre-configured client, and successfully make a connection from the client software to the server. Perhaps I would find the answer if I kept looking, but I'm hoping someone here can answer more quickly/clearly. I know this has been asked many times before, but in several hours of Googling I have yet to find one answer that appears to apply.
